Facade Grant Opportunities
The City of Laurinburg Façade Grant Program is designed to encourage investment in the appearance and preservation of commercial properties within the Downtown Revitalization District. The program provides grant funds to property owners and business tenants to assist with exterior building improvements that enhance curb appeal, preserve historic character, and strengthen the overall attractiveness of Downtown Laurinburg. Eligible projects include façade restoration, brick and masonry cleaning, awning installation, window and door repairs, repainting, landscaping, signage improvements as part of a larger project, and other exterior enhancements. Through this incentive-based program, the City aims to support downtown revitalization, encourage private investment, and preserve the unique architectural character that makes Laurinburg’s downtown a vibrant destination for businesses, residents, and visitors. Grant funding is awarded on a reimbursement basis and may cover up to 60% of eligible project costs, with a maximum City contribution of $12,000. Application are open from January 1st to March 31st & July 1st to September 30th each calendar year.
